Suddenly realised that been a while since i updated this! ANd done a lot, so here goes...
From Wanaka travelled to Lake Tekapo which was stunning - aquamarine water and snowcapped mountains for a backdrop. Then onto Mt cook, again extremely beautiful altho 1st day spent walking in the wind and rain with no view of mt cook! Managed a few beautiful walks in the are.
Then from there headed to Queenstown for an overnight sop en route to Te Anau. Extremely spoilt there as had an entire backpackers to myself - bliss! Managed a day kayaking on Milford SOund, unfortunately cloudy and windy so actually pretty hard work kayaking. Still beautiful despite the weather...
And then onto wet and windy Invercargill in order to travel onto Stewart Island for a few days. An hour on a ferry and then 3 days in isolation - lots of walking along coastal tracks, meeting very few people along the way,and reading which was wonderful. Again variable weather but didn't stop me doing anything.
Now, back in Invercargill overnight, where still wet and windy. Tomorrow head to Dunedin via the Catlins... rumour has it that the Cadburys factory is wortha visit! ANd fromthere, back to Queenstown for christmas. Cannot believe that its here already ...
SO - a very merry christmas to everyone - have a wonderful christmas and no doubt will be back in touch soon, might even be from Sydney!!
love to all jenx
