5. Gorgeous Gilis What can we say about the Gilis other than sheer paradise (applicable to one of the 3 islands anyway!) . Indonesia - Lombok 4. Kuta, Lombok The plan had been to shoot through Bali and get to the less touristed island of Lombok. Unfortunatley, the best ideas rarely go to plan in Indonesia, especially when you are travelling by public transport. As the bus took 11 hours instead of 7 we found ourselves arriving yet again late at night. 3. Beautiful BromoWe decided to leave Pangandaran by the dead of night for the only reason being that it was the cheapest option. We were not so reliably informed that we would arrive back in Yogyakarta at 5 am so we thought it would be possible for us to wait at the bus station in order for us to get our bus to Bromo. 2. Pangandaran Pangandaran is Java's principle beach resort. It is renouned for it's surf and beautiful beaches. We struck gold when we arrived as there were barely any tourists.
