Just had a look at your photos and your one panorama photo! Looks like you are still having fun! Noticed on BBC website that Machu Pichu is up and running again! It's our last day in Sicily and we are just on line checking the flight situation after the volcano in Iceland decided to erupt again!! I think we are ok to fly home tomorrow! Shame - as there is so much to see and do here - we have had a "meravigliosa vacanza" and would be happy to stay longer! Happy New Year to the both of you! We thought of you on New Year's Eve as you had already celebrated NY. Hope you had a lovely Christmas with your family. We received your present thank you. I have it on the table and our names on the display shelf :) Dave got me a 5mth old black kitten for Christmas. I have called him Boston after my favourite city in the US. He is huddled on my lap as I type this. It is snowing again, as I gaze out of the window. I have been off all week as school is closed and we have been snowed in. Waiting now for news on whether its open tomorrow. We held our first Boxing Day Party at our house, a tradition I hope to continue! It was very successful, just wish you could have come, but I'm sure you were enjoying your time away. Dave would like to let Gareth know Band Hero is the future (I bought the game for Dave at Xmas...BIG mistake! lol) He thinks he is Van Halen now, LOL. Thanks for all your updates on the blog and photos. They are truly amazing and very well wrote...watch out 'Wish you were here'! Miss you loads and loads. More fabulous photos! Great to know you are having such a great time. Really looking forward to sharing the adventure with you in New Zealand. Have found the address of Grandad John's friends in NZ. They live on South Island in a remote place near the northernmost point of South Island called Farewell Spit. Their address is Parapara, Golden Bay. It looks beautiful but not easy to get to! It's about a 2 hour drive from Nelson. Wonder if we'll get there?
