Hey guys, though it was about time we pput a real blog entry on. We are currently in Canberra staying with Skye (Emma's friend from camp America) so we have free internet access! Whoop!!

So our last few days in Sydney were pretty eventful! We discovered a place called Darling Harbour that has the most amazing water features and kids playground. Spent a good day playing like 5 year olds again, splashing in the water and playing on the climbing frames! I do believe that it might be my favourite place in Sydney!!! Sian you should go, Gareth I am taking you and Andy me and Emma will take you!!!

We also strolled to Bondi beach to look at the markets and stuff to see what we could buy. Emma purcased an amazing coconut watch...look out for it in the pics...she shows everyone!! It's a flower!! It was a pretty miserable day, well not freezing just a little wt so we strolled around the botanical gardens. We did as the sign said and hugged the trees and talked to the birds! We then stumbled across St Mary's church and me being me, I wanted to look inside. We then sat through a whole hour of mass!!!

To pay for maing Emma sit through mass, she dragged me on a half an hour ferry ride to Manly. It was such a beautiful day and Emma was in her element as she hired a surfboard for the day! However, on her first session she managed to get stung by what I thought was a jellyfish. I was all ready to pee on her (I heard that's how you get rid of the sting) until a surfer man told us it was a blue bottle ray and running cold water on it would be fine! Then after her second session we heard a really loud siren that was telling us we all had to clear the water because there had beena shark sighted. I got a little excited as I wanted to see it. I did refuse to go back in after though!!! You don't get that back home!!! To end the day we had the most amazing fish and chips by the beach!!! Two pieces for the same price as one....HEAVEN!!!

I dragged emma out of bed early one morning to go to the fish market....so many fish to choose from!! It wasn't busy or anything like I was expecting and rather hoping though!!! The weather was amazing so we headed to bondi beach again and got very burnt!! :( We later discovered that GOON and SKOONER are the drinks over here!!! We got given a box of goon for free and it's bloody strong stuff when you haven't drank in awhile!! Went for a buffet that was only $2.95 and when I asked what the veggie option was he told me....salad!!! Out here they don't really cater too well for veggies on the cheap hehe We went out and Emma ended up riding a bicycle in Hyde Park until about 3 in the morning. Meanwhile I was an old fart and went back to the hostel at around 12-12.30!!

Spent another night out on the town with Emma's friend from trek America, Adam. The guy in all our recent photo's wearing yellow. He is a cool cat who got Emma very drunk on skooner!! Met some crazy and rather annoying gay guys, although Adam was adamant that they weren't gay!!! One of them we are still unsure of as he was hitting on Emma....taking one last walk around and playing frizbee on the park. I twisted my ankle and got hit several times whilst Emma and Adam were playing it cool and just laughing at me!!

So we are in Canberra now and it's so different to Sydney, surrounded by bushland and kangaroos! It was boiling today so we had to stay indoors. Did the australian museaum and a few other touristy things that I don't remeber right now!
