After leaving Nanau-i-ra yesterday morning we began the final leg of our journey around the mainland of Fiji back towards Nadi. We left Ovalau two days ago at five o'clock in the morning in order to get back to the mainland in time to meet the Feejee Experience bus in one of the towns en route so that we didn't have to get all the way back to Suva. Despite this early rise we did nearly manage to miss the bus as we had to get a taxi to the next town and back in order to get some cash out and our bus drove past us on the way! Darren and Melanie had a slight altercation on Monday so we left Suva and got the ferry to Ovalau, home of the old capital of Fiji, Levuka. For this leg of our journey we were accompanied by Tamara, a fellow traveller that we met at our hostel from California. We were due to go to one of the islands yesterday day but unfortunately the hotel was booked up so we had to have a quick change of plans, but luckily all was not lost as Fiji were playing the Maori all blacks in rugby union at the stadium just down the road. We got a taxi to the ground and it was the best three quid we've ever spent! This morning we were picked up by the big green bus once more for another action packed day of activities with our guide T, before reaching Suva just after sundown. Our first stop was to get some lunch to take with us on our trek as we were told we would be on the move all day and as we'd missed breakfast we made the executive decision to get a toasted sandwich as we thought it wouldn't take too long to cook or eat.
