Sad to leave San Diego! We delayed leaving by stopping off at Mission Beach before starting the drive to Palm Springs.

Totally different drive this time, into the desert. Adz loved it! Drove through a windmill farm...there were thousands of windmills randomly in the middle of the desert! At times it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere!

Our hotel gave us complimentary early check in, which was nice as the hotel was rammed and we had just done a pretty long drive. We got upgraded to a pool view room and were given some free drink vouchers. Our room (and the hotel) is lovely and full of spring breakers. Apparantly there is a music festival on this weekend so you can imagine the clientele!

We grabbed late lunch poolside then had a cheeky hour by the pool before the desert wind got up & it got a bit chilly.

Chilled out on the balcony with my kindle before getting ready to head downtown. Had a really nice vibe to it. Found a cute restaurant called LuLu which was very busy but worth the wait. The lemon drop cocktail was amazing, as was the meatloaf!
