I actually paid $50 dollars more for my flights from Thailand to New York just so I could pass through Iceland. I got the window seat and everything. What I discovered while coming in to Reykjavik for the landing is that the terrain below looks a lot like Alaska... which is where I'm headed to work again.

No photos... but in the airport I bought the most expensive sandwich and bottle of water ever.
