So after a few days exploring Sin City, time for an update. We have seen a lot of the city so far and enjoying the great weather. It is really nice to see my Dad, Cathy and my brother Jason and his wife Lillie. We have still won more money than we lost, plus the free beer/drinks while playing the slots is nice. Ok this is no joke. We met my Dad at a casino off the strip. We got there 10 minutes early, so I figured I would throw a dollar into a slot just for fun. Hit play and won $80. Not a bad start. I picked up the dinner bill needless to say! Should I quit while I am ahead.....NAH!!!!! Had a good time so far. Jason is flying in soon, Dad is picking him up at the Airport and we will meet tomorrow. Time to go spend some of those dead presidents!

So we took an all-day tour of the Grand Canyon and BOY was it cold! There was still a lot of snow on the ground around the South Rim. We had a great tour guide. He explained a lot of the geology of the canyon and the surounding wildlife and the vegetation. Good Morning! We had a good breakfast and we are now booked on a whole-day tour of the canyon. We will be back in time to jump in the car and drive to another part of the canyon for a very frigid (-8°C) sunset. After that relax a bit at the hotel and pack for Las Vegas. Had a good 6 hours sleep. Woke up to a nice sunrise over the hills surrounding Phoenix. Also woke up to the nice odour of Starbucks Coffee brewing in the floor breakfast lounge. Had a bagel and fresh juice. Relaxing a bit before we do some shopping at the mall around the corner (they have a roller coaster in the parking lot) and then drive up to the Grand Canyon. Will be cooler up there, supposed to be -8°C tonight there. But in the daytime around 10°C.
