So, the Blue Mountains, very wet sadly! We went to the fantastic 'Scenic World', and went on the famous 'Skyway', 'Cableway', and 'Scenic Railway', and saw b*****-all, Lamby is on the glass floor of the cable-car, btw,( oh, ok, we got a fleeting glimpse of the famous Katoomba Falls, through the mist! ). But on the upside, we didn't have to queue for any of the rides! So it wasn't all doom and gloom! We did stop off on the drive from Katoomba to Pokolbin, when weather cleared, and got a lovely view of the mountains from Evans' Lookout, at Blackheath.
From there, we went into Katoomba, which we had been told was awful, but we loved it! Quirky, bohemian, a little run-down, right up our street! Had a nice lunch, bought a hat, went to a great super-market, and then set off on the looong drive to the Hunter Valley!
Five hours later, partly due to the crap directions, looong distance, and terrible road signage, we found the Hunter Valley Resort. We were a bit frazzled, but enjoyed a lovely meal in their restaurant, and then slept v soundly!
