After all the spa treatments you have had Stobo will never be the same. I have throrougly enjoyed reading of your travels. Enjoy the last moments of holiday, because, Jean, when you get back I shall be boring for Scotland on the political situation. Think of the rants, which I have not sent you.
Back here on the positive side we have been overjoyed by the on-going rescue of the Chilean miners. The skills and knowledge of the mining engineers working on the escape have been impressive.
The distances which you have covered have been quite mind-blowing and reading of your experiences has been very thought provoking, especially the pride in themselves and courteousness of people who are in great material poverty. But how hard must life be for them. In addition Craig's writing has been so vivid.
Anyway have a safe journey home and thanks for the photos and blogs.

Hi Craig and Jean. In order to leave you a message I had to answer a rather difficult maths question so that the computer knows I am a real person and not spam. It was 3+2!!! What a nightmare! I can't believe that you are coming home already. Muriel just popped into the office. She's just back from Tenerife safe and sound. Muriel if you read this can you get Alastair to make some of that yummy pasta asap. The kids are starving!!!
Anyways I hope that you have both had a fantastic time. Safe trip home.
Love your Lawyer xxxx

By the way, Just have to point something out. In that last post I was not trying to be trendy or cool or even start a neo-language uprising by spelling the word magic - majic! It was quite simply a slightly tipsy spelling error!
P.S. Jean says MAJIC will appear in the Oxford Dictionary as an accepted spelling next year! Ahhhh the youth of today!!!

Lorna thanks for the comment - you an Jean are booked in for a 30 minute dance piece in my next Bollywood spectacular! lol.
Al n Nena - good to hear from you both. You're right whoever bought me that shirt has damn good taste, wish I could remember who it was and I'd thank them! ...Yeah it's been an experience you could say, scary at first but amazing as you sink into it. We went to a a market after the Taj which was cool as well and our driver is a quality gent. On the way to Jaipur we stopped at a couple of places (1 of which is where we got the photo in front of the Jal Mahal - The Palace of Water) and a wee kid presented a majic show to us which was unbelievable as he can't have been any older than 6 years old! However, you are right there is a lot of visible poverty which is qute hard to swallow but with the work ethic of the people here we believe they can prosper. Glad you said we were missed at David's wedding, we were sorry we couldn't be there and I was gutted I didn't get to play with the band which I would have been doing. But hey, can't grumble this is a trip of a lifetime! The laughs have been plentiful and as long as Jean doesn't kick £$%$ outta me before we leave it will have been among the greatest experiences of my life! Cheers, talk to you soon.

Hey folks! India sounds amazing... The backie, the taxi, the animals! I'm glad you got the upgrade on the plane - by the law of averages you were gonna get one with so many flights!!! Taj looks spectacular - was there much else around there? Is it developed with offices/homes etc? I take it there was a lot of visible poverty? You were missed at David's wedding on Saturday - we all had a great time but it wasn't the same without you guys. Hope you are both having great laughs and lots of fun...
Lorna
india indeed sounds fascinating especially the chap in full business clothing complete with briefcase getting a "backie". But the wee boy with the cattle!! Reality eh? Anyway you will both have many a story to rell us, when you get back.
Craig, you look like a film star in your photos. You might be in a Bollywood production before you leave. See if you can get your Aunt Jean and me a walk-on part.

Edna - the charity shops will be so grateful for your work suits - it's hard to believe you've been retired for almost a year already! You must be exhausted - retirement is such hard work! I haven't bought very much at all so far - it's all about the baggage weight: so far we've mostly blagged our way through, not paying anything extra at all at airports, but when we get to Nepal, I'm going to hit the markets and craft shops. I have to say, Edna, ye canny beat a Thai massage - I've had 3 and Craig's away for his first right now - whatever else may be up with me, my feet, back and neck are in fine form!!! Jean
Muriel - Craig and I saw the wedding photos on FB - great! Lisa looked lovely - liked the dress - and everybody seemed to be having a great time. Thought Bill and Frances looked particularly well. The Nisbets and Patersons scrub up well, don't they! It was lovely to see Harley totally out of it curled up in a chair in the bar!!!!! She's a real wee girl now, not a baby!
10 days left of our trip - not looking forward to New Delhi, where it's even hotter than Singapore (32 degrees!) - I can see me sightseeing in India leaping out of the air-conditioned car to take photos and leaping back in, but at least Kathmandu will have decent temps: 24 degrees.

Hi Jean and Craig. Wedding went well and there didn't seem to be any hitches. As usual though they always seem to have trouble with the name Nisbet as they had Nesbit (which did not please our brother!!!) Craig, the Band played well and were on for 40 minutes and they managed to get 2 other guys to help out so all was good. Guess everybody will be recovering today!!!Everybody was asking for you. Nan left Pam's 60th birthday bash to come to the wedding reception for a short time to take some photographs then had to go back to Pam's party. She did well getting there on her own as there were loads of roadworks. Well done Nan. She knows with you away Jean there is nobody to take all the photos for us though the professional photographer seemed to cover everybody in the room all evening. The wedding photographs should be great. Lisa was absolutely gorgeous and the bridesmaids were beautiful too. David, Chris and all the men looked very handsome in their black kilt outfits. The children were all paige boys and flower girls. So cute. Hope Singapore is great fun and look forward to hearing all about it.

Hi, Al & Mur - No need to go to Peak Mtn - we took the ferry to Lantau Island, had a circular tour to see the big Buddha and then got the cablecar back down to the Lantau Bridge - fantastic views from the cablecar and it was a fine clear day so photos are great. Think Craig is in the gym. I'm just back from an hour of massage at the spa. Later, shopping and dinner! Leaving Craig to tell you all about his new friends - it's the hair that does it - the girls at the spa here are eagerly awaiting the return of the rock star for his massage!
