Our last stop in South America, incredibly sad times as we wished we could have done and seen so much more of the continent - already planning the next trip!
The city was a lot different to how we pictured! We stayed in a lovely area called Vila Madalena! On our first day we went to the local flea market which had lots of antiques and jewellery, it was fun to walk around and explore. We spent a couple of days exploring further into the city along the famous roads Avenida Paulista and Oscar Freire. We ate some typical Brazilian food, Feijoada and tried some Brazilian coffee. We also went upto central and visited the famous Cathedral Se and the surrounding area.
For Amy's birthday we went out with a big group of people from our hostel to a club, D Edge, and had great fun sipping cocktails and dancing! We also went for a pizza, Amy's choice, although quite a delicacy in Brazil apparently?! We even got a banana and chocolate pizza for dessert, yummy! With the biggest Japanese population outside of Japan there was also the opportunity to eat some good sushi! We said goodbye to the delicious milkshakes and fun-loving, friendly Brazilian people and made our way across to the other side of the world!
