First Stop - Buenos Aires !
Wow - what an incredible city. Full of art and music, there was a great atmosphere wherever we went. We truly experienced Argentina as we danced the Tango, watched a football match and ate some good steak! We had so much fun and exhausted by the end of our 12 days.
We explored a lot of the city by foot and visited several districts such as San Telmo, where we stayed in 3 different hostels, La Boca, Recoleta and Palermo! We visited the famous cemetry, where Evita is buried, which was very different to any other cemetry we've seen. We went on a historical walking tour around the city, very interesting! We also experienced the lively nightlife and danced through the night and until the morning as Argentinians go out way past our usual bedtime!
For Jaz's birthday we visited the Zoo where we saw lots of animals, even a polar bear! The Sunday market was good fun too, with drummers and singers throughout! We watched Boca vs Godoy Cruz, the first match of the season. The atmosphere was fantastic as everyone sung, jumped around and played music! Eventhough Boca, the team we were supporting, lost 4-1 we were able to see a lot of goals!
Leaving Buenos Aires was quite sad as we had so much fun, settled really quickly and met lots of different people. But since leaving we have rested a bit.
WE LOVE BA!
