I was very excited about our camping trip to Fraser island we were seperated into groups of 9 to do a self drive of the island in a 4x4 each of us were designated different jobs mine & Sandra's was the alcohol budget I think they picked the right people for the job! We were given a map of the island & an agenda of things to do. Luckerly we had a great group of peps & the whole trip this strange Tassmanian boy kept trying to ditch his crappy group to join ours. We went for treck in the National park (Nic & me trailing aboout 10 miles behind everyone else as usual) "I'll go at my own pace thankyou very much!", viseted a war ship wreak, coloured sands, had a few beers at the creek, spotted turtles & dolphins at the lookout point, campaign springs (looked more like the colour of crap than champaign), had nice picnics I stapped the 5 litre bottle of water to the top of the truck forgetting to put the lid on! Went for a wee behind what I thought was a secluded rock only to realise after that there was a whole tour party of people who i'd been mooning behind me. It was also funny that every time a girl went for a secret wee they rushed straight over to wash there feet in the sea afterwards. There were certain times we could not drive on the beach due to the tide our crazy Dutch driver did give it a try & im surprised that i lived to tell this tale! I also had a go at driving, ive never seen a group of people try to scramble out the back of a truck so fast as when i said "I don't want to scare anyone but which is the accelerator?" We went to see the pretty stars on the beach at night i've never seen anything like it the sky was filled & they looked so close you could touch them (yeah i know it sounds a bit gay but it was pretty amazing) The best place we went was Lake Mckenzie the sand was so white & the water was crystal clear & warm it really was a paradise kinda like the set of Lost I wish i was stranded there!
