So, went for breakfast and a morning in the 2nd city of Paraguay, Ciudad Del Este, sitting on the border with Argentina and Brazil. Wow. Interesting place, Paraguay.
The breakfast was a basic cakey thing, coffe and orange juice. Then we went "shopping" (This place is renowned as a shopping destination for Brazilians and Argentines). It´s very cheap compared to Brazil and Argentina.
It was f***ing chaos! Market stools, filth, dirt. Just like a brixton highstreet (or any s***ty highstreet market in britain), but everyone was approaching you trying to sell you stuff (ranging from remote controls to socks to cutlery!). It was all rip off stuff as well. Eg, it wasn´t an ipod it was an ibox, but looked exactly like an ipod!!! It was nutty! I could hardly understand what they were saying either, as they were mainly speaking in Portugese (as we´re on the border with Brazil).
We then went to a place called the Itaipu damn. One of the new 7 wonders of the world...I´d never heard of it, but it was pretty impressive. The worlds biggest damn, surrounded by river, and jungle. Then the water, once plummeting through the damn, all the foam, white horses splashed hundreds of feet into the air. Pretty impressive.
So that was my morning in Paraguay.
