Hey Everyone,
Have spent a few days in the Bay Of Islands hot but drizly rain, so Jay decided this would be a good time to go fishing and went and bought himself a rod. Went to a place called Russell ment to been known for big game fishing, an hour later Jay came back off the rocks shouting he'd caught his first snapper, NO JOKE must of only been a few days old. Good way of getting free food though. Went on a boat trip round all the islands, water was crystal clear and stunning, had lunch on a quiet beach and went on a glass bottom boat. No Dolphins to been seen anywhere though but plenty of little bugs who have eaten us alive.
Been travelling back down now stopping off at some cool places, Tutukaka (Poor Knights Islands) world famose for diving, Goats Island a marine reserve with big and colourful fish and Waiwera Hot Springs. Spent a day at the hot springs was so good, it had 19 pools, chuts which were well to quick for Nat's liking and a movie pool. The pools were all different temps with the hottest being 49oC there's no way anyone was getting in that it was stupidly hot, 40oC was hotter enough for us.
Yesterday we headed back into Auckland and did all the touristy stuff went to the Zoo and Museum were we watched the mauri's doing all their different dances including the HAKA was really good and got some funny photos.. We went out in a place called Takapuna had a few drinks in the van by the beach before going out for a meal with Anna.
Today were driving up the Coromandel Peninsula famous for its gold mines, hoping to come across a few.
Hope everyone is well, Speak to you soon x
