G'day peeps!!
We are now in Australia!! In Melbourne, to be exact.
Our 2nd day here, and its all good so far.
We enjoyed our fist day, it was warm and sunny- much better than NZ!
Melbourne seems a really cool place. Had a good wander round on our first day, saw federation square, and some of the main streets. Got the free city tram which was all good!!- free is always good!
Then went out for dinner in chinatown, found a really cheap place, it was a bYO, so we bought some cheap wine, and went in! Had noodles and meat for 7 bucks, about 3 pound each- bargain!!!!
We are staying in a cheap hotel/hostel type place- called city centre budget hotel, its billed as a hotel, but is cheaper than a double room in most the hostels, and is shared bathrooms, and has a kitchen and stuff. It also has a rooftop garden which is kinda cool, and is right near the centre of Melbourne, so a great location. Its really good to be back in a City too, after spending 6 weeks in NZ, where there is no real proper cities, Its nice just to wander round and see the sites etc. We are staying here for about a week, gonna spend the weekend in St Kilda, a liltte seaside type place in Melbourne, and go to a Neighbours night Should be fun....!
Melbourne has some really cool little alleyways and lanes, that are great to wander round and get lost in, lots of shops and cafe's, good just to wander.
Went to the queen victoria market today, wandered round, saw lots of fake Uggs, and fake sports shirts etc - typical market really.
Decided I am gonna collect beer mats from the various places we go, as its free - I only have one so far from a bar called the Sherlock Holmes bar - trying to get other people to get me ones from countries I have I missed - a nice cheap way to gather mementos.

Staying in Melbourne for about a week or so, then on to Sydney!! gonna try and find work in Oz if poss, and try and get some cash, its going so goddamn fast.
