Woke around 6.30am and it was pitch black. Waited for everyone to wake then went off to find a little restaurant for breakfast. There are restaurants in every nook and cranny. Coffee was amazing so went back for seconds. Jason went into shock with strength so had to add 3 sugars to his coffee. Went back put in a couple of loads of washing and then headed out to get lost in the back streets of Venice. Everywhere you look there is something new to discover. Musicians, beggars, churches, restaurants, artists its mind blowing.

We stopped for a coffee at Campo San Polo and watched the world go by for half an hour.

We found our way to a nice restaurant overlooking the Canale della Guidecca and had a nice lunch watching the boats go back and forth.

The villas are very old and the evidence of the city sinking is very visible.

Many of the building are leaning and are constantly being repaired

After walking and exploring most of the day we headed back to our accomodation for tea and an early night
