Today we went from Hawker to Wallaroo stopping at Port Pirie on the way. We setup and Mum, Fraser and I went to the beach which was about 50 meters from our camping spot, and it was very warm water. We had a great snorkel until Mum and I spotted two massive crabs bigger than a dinner plate about 1 metre away, we soon rushed out of the water as I jumped on Mums back and telling her to run fast.

We headed to the Flinders, Wilpena Pound to do a hike Mt Ohlsen Bagge. it was a steep climb 7.5 km return most of it was climbing up and over rocks the lookout up the top was great with lots of lizards around. Most other tourist spots in the Ranges were closed following recent flooding.

We woke early and packed up the caravan to head to Hawker which is a town in the Central Flinders Ranges.  We had a look around the small town.

Early in the day we drove to Red Banks Conservation Park which Fraser and Dad enjoyed spotting 8 birds. On the way back to Burra we had a look at the Old Goal and Police House along with an old settlement. Fraser and I went for a walk and run with Mum along an historic Mawson Trail which was named after an explorer.

Today we went to the Martindale Hall/House where part of the movie Picnic at Hanging Rock was filmed. Later on we tried out Mintaro Maze which was great fun the girls challenged the boys…..we think there was only 3 seconds difference in the finish. We travelled onto Clare to have lunch and take a picture of the town museum for our cousin Clare.
