A bit of early schoolwork and then off to Dales Gorge for a walk to Circular Pool and Fortescue Falls. The layered rocks and waterfalls were very colourful following the recent rain which made the trail slippery at times.

We travelled to the western gorges based around Weano Gorge and enjoyed a bushwalk and a view from a number of the lookouts. Recent rains meant the water in the gorges was flowing well but very cold. We drove into Tom Price for lunch and drove to the top of Mt Nameless to become the highest car in WA (for a short time)!

After stocking up on supplies (not easy on a Sunday in Port Hedland!) we head inland and arrive at Dales campground in Karijini National Park. There were many mining vehicles and spectacular scenery on the way. We were too late for showers at the information centre so up went the shower booth on our site to wash off some of the red dust.

A long drive to Port Hedland as we retrace our path on the way to the Pilbara. On the way we stopped for fuel at Pardoo Roadhouse where we found this albino peacock strutting around.

Our last day in Broome and at last a suitable movie for us to see at the Sun Pictures open air picture gardens - the oldest continuously running one in the World! The movie (Inside Out) was great and we enjoyed some jets flying low overhead just before the movie began. I enjoyed the geckos crawling on the big screen chasing insects.
