Today is out second full day in morocco and we are after saying goodbye to Marrakesh for a while. At 7:15 this morning we got a tour bus which is going to take us on a three day dessert trip. So far we have been travelling for four hours but this isn't as tedious as it may sound. We are travelling through the High Atlas Mountains which is visually stunning and the journey has been broken up with frequent stops in which we can refresh pose for photos and admire the views.
One downside to this trip is that it's after eleven and all I have eaten is one kit/kat bar. Grrr no food makes jane go mad!! Moannnn!!
The tour we are travelling with consists of an American guy and his Turkish girlfriend, a Japanese guy and two Japanese girls who are actually studying English in Dublin and two really stunningly beautiful Italian men, all around our age. Also there are three french couples but they are a bit older than us so although very friendly they keep to themselves.
One of the highlights of our stop offs was the Ait Ben Haddau Ksar.
We stopped here for about two hours, the first was passed walking through the streets of the town up to a monument located at the very top. Here we took full advantage of the strong wind as a natural hair volumiser, sure we were only gorgeous in our Kodachrome moments. The views at the top were amazing, both of the mountains around us and the Italian men beside us. Another cool thing about the town is that scenes from the game of thrones, gladiator, prince of Persia and many other movies were filmed.
We stayed in a hotel in ---- that night. The location was stunning as it was on the code of a narrow valley in the mountains. Bride and I took a stroll that night and the following morning all in the hope of getting the perfect photos, our vanity never ceases to amaze me.
That night we ate dinner with the group. I was green with envy with brid when she strikes up conversation with one of the hot Italians about coscos of all things, and if that wasn't enough later on they discussed music, lucky yolk!
