Two long days of travel to get home. We woke this morning to a howling Westerly that had smashed the swell. After rolling around in nausea inducing waves for an hour at p**** s waiting to see if it would clear we decided to head back to port a few hours early. Everyone done with boating. Swell has dropped out. After a morning snorkel across the most insane coral heads at HTs we travelled north for three or four hours to Playgrounds. Little sess at p**** s before an early Bintang free night for everyone.

Surfed Monkey Jumps, Lances Left and Bintangs today. Epic time at Bintangs catching drainers off the reef with just Sime, Ant and I out getting wave after wave in oily conditions. Super fun. Big smiles. Tonight the crew put on an amazing beach BBQ that required venturing precariously by torchlight through the mangroves to a sandy palm fringed beach. HTs. Unexpectedly stunning and a welcome calm after the rough rolling seas we travelled through from 5am onwards this morning. Three boats, a land camp and a bunch of ripping villagers. Such a shallow wave. Somehow I managed to catch one. A small one, but one. More than some of the boys. Followed by all time chicken tacos, sea kayaking, beach exploring, soccer with local kids, trawling for fish at sunset - an epic day really for a one wave day. Four days to go....
