Its pretty chilly here too - gloves and winter coats out already. It still looks as if you have clear sunnny skies, albeit cold. Had a fantastic day seeing XH558. Christmas cakes and puds have been made ready for your return. Take care.

Hi Chris and Paula. Thanks for your comment - just spotted it. The northern bit of the North Island was a bit like Cornwall but quieter and sunnier. Think you'd like Marlborough. Looks like you can do mountain biking, tandeming between vineyards and bird watching all in one area. We'll let you know when we've explored a bit more. Seem to be lots of hawks / kites (?) around as well as some very tuneful birds. Have tried to lay off the cakes for a bit but a cup of tea and piece of cake seems a good idea in this cold weather!

Hi you two we are a bit behinds with your travels, but Peter has had some health issues again unfortunately. You seem to be having the time of your life and something you will never forget.
