Hey People, thanks for the mesages :) will reply as I can.
Since my last blog we've come to Moscow by sleeper train, which was very exciting and I'm looking forward to our next epic train journey to Irkutsk tomorrow night. When Laura and I boarded the train it was pitch black and we spent the 20 minutes before the train set off frantically trying to put our beds together in the dark with the help of my torch and the hindrance of our rucksacks. The two Russian ladies we were sharing the coach with sat down calmly and watched us with interest. As soon as the train set off the lights came on whereupon the Russian ladies sorted out their bedding. We'll remember that for tomorrow night!
My guidebook cites Moscow's Metro as one of the must do Moscow experiences. I can say I have well and truly done this to death after spending most of Monday afternoon on it. This wasn't helped by the fact that there are no signs on the platforms and when there are they're in Cyrillic, and since my guidebook was published a new line complete with new stops had sprung up akin to the DLR.
Other than the Metro, I've done the usual things like the Kremlin and Red Square. Will update later I'm out of time!
