It has now been about a month for me and longer for Jodie since we renounced our
 'persons of leisure' status. It has been a remarkably easy transition, but I do hope that we do not have to wait too long before we go on another adventure. In some ways my move into my new job has been too easy; much of the language used, equipment discussed and the problems to be tackled are very very similar to that of the MOD. You know that it has been a good 'Bucks Night' when at 5am, you and the other three survivors of an epic that started at 1pm can be found dancing to ABBA in a bar on Oxford street that was unused to unkempt heterosexuals forming part of their rather flamboyant cliental. It was been an exciting couple of weeks. Firstly, on the work front, Jodie is no longer a lady of leisure and has started an 8 week project management contract with an Australian banks' HQ. The office is in the CBD so it's walk-able. This is great news as not only does this keep us on the straight and narrow, but it gets me one step closer to the dream of being a 'surf dude'. Now in Sydney, 5 months after leaving UK and 6 years since Jodie first popped over for a few months and stayed until 5 days before we were wed! It is odd being back here; we both know our way around well, both have places around the city that we love and have a good stock of friends living here.
