The hostel where we stayed for our 4 days in Sydney was in the dodgy Kings Cross area. A mix of bars, sex shops, strip clubs and drugs lined the street and the hostel was no better. A complete hole but nice people though. Over the 4 days we saw all the famous sights, the Harbour bridge, the Opera house and the Aquarium. The beaches at Bondi and Manly were great places to relax and watch class surfing after a hard night out.

Officially the most chilled out place in the world, Byron had a real hippy vibe and was crammed full of backpackers. It is also renowned for it easy surfing breaks, so we got some boards for a few days. James was reluctant at first but by the end it was obvious he will be putting us all to shame in Croyde this summer. Its also a great place for nights out as there are enough travellers to fill the clubs every night of the week.

Drugs and stoned hippies line the streets in the wierd community that is Nimbin. The museum and shops are full of pro canabis campaigning (eg. Reality is for people that cant handle drugs) but when you look at the people here you realise its not so great, and feel sorry for the children.Who are probably born stoned and bottle fed mushrooms.
