Byron Bay is gorgeous! A really relaxed town, so many surf shops (and lots of sales on), restaurants, cafes! It is also extremely hot here, spent today on a beach, not a cloud in the sky! We could actually here our skin sizzling...will update more when we've done more than sunbathe! Love it here!!! Arrived in Australia!!!! Not come into the best weather which is a shame but it should be hotter the more north we go! Been to the Melbourne Gaol where Ned Kelly was imprisoned and hanged, saw loads of spooky cells and the place where people were hanged and there was lots of death masks of prisoners which were really spooky! my oh my, what a lot of sheep! just done the cadbury tour, lovely smell of chocolate all the way through but it was just a factory! luckily we got free chocolate and it made it all worth while, we loooooove the chocolate! also we walked across the massive city of dunedin to the WORLD'S STEEPEST STREET! it really is very steep! got a certificate to prove we been there too....how cool! went out on the otago peninsula to try and see the albatrosses ...

We love Queenstown! Not only do they do New Zealands best hot chocolate here, it is really pretty and loads of fun things to do - bunji, river surfing, luging, paragliding, hangliding, jet boating, etc. and lots of shops and cool bars. went to the minus 5 bar as part of jane's bday which everyone loved! it is completely made of ice...no lie! we had to wear woolly boots, gloves and a massive thick coat! were in there an hour, the temp was -8.3 degrees and ou...

The actual town consists of 2 streets, one where all the houses are and the other with the shop and glacier guide companies. very pretty and peaceful with gorgeous hot weather! Plan was to walk the glacier on 24th, Jane's birthday but she was feeling really ill so it was postponed until the next morning.
