We slept well and the alarm woke us at 6:00. We met Sherry and Bill for breakfast and enjoyed the nice spread that the hotel had. Many breads and rolls, fruit, juices, coffee, eggs, sausages, etc. After breakfast we made our way to the Charles Bridge, and once we made it across and to the astronomical clock, Sherry led us on the Rick Steve's tour of the old part of the city. Many interesting buildings. We had lunch at a cafe in the upstairs of an interesting cubist building. I had a ham and cheese panini, Jahn had a club sandwich, Sherry had a ham and cheese baguette, and Bill, always one for trying the local flavor, had a cheese baguette.
A bit more wandering after lunch, then back to the room at 3:00 for a rest. We headed out at 4:45 for dinner at Malostranka Beseda. I started with the goulash soup. For dinner, Jahn and I had roast beef with cream sauce (gravy), Carlsbad dumplings and bread dumplings, and cranberry sauce. Bill and Sherry each had the pulled pork shoulder roasted with ginger and onions, with Moravian white cabbage and thuringian potatoes dumplings. We all enjoyed our meals.
After dinner we walked up (and up and up) to the Prague Castle. Rick Steve's recommended seeing the gardens at night when they were less crowded. They were actually already closed at 7:00. Oh well, it was a nice walk. Got back to the room to FaceTime with Anna and wish her a happy birthday.

Caroline Madeleine is snuggling with me in bed as I look at this and she is beside herself with excitement seeing these pics of Sherry and Bill. "I love Sherry and Bill!" ... she keeps saying!
