We have arrived in Boracay! We had a look around last night and it all just looks incredible! We get breakfast free and I had a waffle with bananas cooked inside which was amazing! We both had a burger last night and it was one of the best burgers we've had. We've done a bit of exploring today and stopped off for a mango ice cream whoopsie! The B&B we are staying at has two dogs and Toms already fallen in love with them pretty sure they'll be snuggling with us in the room soon. There is a place called Hobbit House which is a restaurant/bar Tom didn't realise it was all dwarfs who work there and started shouting "look Jade it's a Hobbit House" slightly awkward moment haha so a couple of hours after writing this we discover the hotel also has cats. One is straight in the room on the bed ready for snuggles he is so lovely! It keeps raining and to top it off we've had a power cut the whole day! Luckily it came on just before 7pm so we didn't have to sit in darkness! Every time we walk along the beach even when it's raining and windy we cannot believe how pretty it is. Yesterday we signed up for New Zealand House Sitting website as we've decided we would really like to house sit during part of our stay as it would be nice if we could settle somewhere for Christmas. We've already had three responses from house owners so it's looking positive fingers crossed! This morning we woke up looked out the window and it was actually sunny! We went for breakfast and had an email from a lady in New Zealand offering us the position to house sit for her for five weeks over Christmas and look after her dog! We cannot believe our luck it's been two days and we even get to use her car! We walked along the beach this morning and saw a washed up dolphin it was so upsetting we both stroked it thinking it would come alive :( it was in perfect condition they have no idea what happened to it. We then saw a dead puffer fish! We laid on the beach with pure blue sky and it started raining we have no idea how that can happen there wasn't even a cloud in the sky! We have had four days of pure sunshine! It has been incredible! We explored a lot and found a little hidden beach. Tom decided it was okay to jump off the edge in to the sea I warned him not to and told him how shallow it looked. Of course he didn't listen jumped in and the water came up to his waist! Flipping doughnut! Tom was in the water and I spotted a snake! It was insane Tom decided to get up really close to it, after about five minutes the locals decided to tell us it was highly poisonous and could kill! Brilliant! We saw a purple and a blue jelly fish! Tom purchased some flip flops as his shoes stank! He had them for two days. The first day he got really bad blisters and the second day he tripped, went flying and managed to slice the top of his big toe! No playing in the sea for him! Haha. They have the most incredible sunsets. They have the best live singers I've heard some evenings we sit along the beach and listen to them. I've fallen in love with one of the guys that sings! We are basically the only white people on the island. We've extended our stay here and will be going to Vietnam on the 23rd August. We got accepted for another house sit it's for two weeks looking after a dog and she looks really cute and it's a couple of days after we land so it's perfect timing for us. We were walking along the beach a couple of nights ago and there were four naked girls must of been between 12-15 years old and the mums were just scrubbing the girls private bits with towels and everyone was looking! We were in the sea and I saw a group of five weird looking fish I went to point them out to Tom and one jumped out of the water and tried to bite my leg I ran and then it went directly towards Tom to try and get him ahhh I thought I was going to die haha. Yesterday was the first day there was no wind at all. The sea was perfect no waves and it was so clear. We were laying in bed and could hear a couple of men above us in the roof a couple of minutes later we saw the light move, we waited as we were sure it was going to fall through. It fell straight through the roof scared the hell out of me, the men came to our door and were cracking up! So we woke up this morning and the bathroom completely flooded and had come through to the room the whole room stank of pee! They said they would get a plumber to sort it... We came back at 4pm and nothing looks touched and the smell is so much worse! We've been moved to a different room but all our stuff is sitting in a stinky room :( not happy bunnies today! We had a late afternoon stroll on the beach and saw the prettiest brown husky dog we both wanted to steal him! We saw someone getting married on the beach it was so cute she walked down to the song Pharrell - Happy which was just odd haha. We woke up this morning to an email from the house sitter we are looking after over Christmas saying they are fostering another dog so we get to look after two dogs for Christmas yessssss!!! Our last two days the weather was crap so we didn't get to do much. We managed to get free late check out which was handy as we have a long journey ahead to get to Vietnam.
