So a full day in our least favoured city!!!

We started the day by booking our tickets out of the city for that night, Linnea had been asking if we could try and get a sleeping bus, one with actual beds, and although we hadn't thought they'd actually do one, we found they did but it was an extra 50000 Kip so we decided against it. We met up with Simon again afer booking the ticket,m and got breakfast while he booked his tickets to Thailand. Yep so that mean Linnea and Simon met up to talk and were now travelling off in oposite directions again, weird, well I thought so. Simon had heard of a water park in the city, as he'd been there for 5 days or so, so we chartered a Tuk tuk out to it, when we got there all excited to have found something to do in this dull city, we found out it was still under construction. The english speaking project manager said it would be open in about one month. Highly dissapointed we started our walk back to the guesthouse the pick up some things and get another tuk tuk to the sports centre Simon had previously used. When we got there, it was 52000 Kip, thats just over $5 for a whole day pass to the gym, swimming pool, and a 1 hour massage. We only had 3 hours to spend but we spent it in the pool and getting our massages. The pool was really nice and a welcome surprise.

When we got back we got a quick dinner and waited for Simon to get picked up, after missing his first tuk tuk to the border, the next one came 45 minutes later. We then just ahd a wait for our bus.

When we got picked up on a pick up to be taken to the bus station, I recognised one of the guys as Sean a South African who I had played pool against in the Chaing Mai Salon, I hadn't chatted to him then, and wasn't sure if I'd played him or one of the guys I was with had, but I mentioned it and everybody complemented my memory. Our group chatted to him and his wife/girlfriend. When we got to the bus station we all found out to our very welcome surprise that we had been put on a sleeper bus with bed, without having paid for it. We of course we all very happy, but were sure something was going to go wrong. It actually didn't, although the beds were slightly wider than a normal single and were meant for two people, Jade and I shared while Linnea had to share with a random Candian guy, which was quite amusing. I slept the best I have on any bu, as I could actually lay8 down, not fully, but alot more than before. The opposite was true for Jade who could sleep on it, and Linnea who, even after trying hugging her new man kfriend couldn't sleep either. ha
