Today was mainly a day of travel once again, although not the longest of all journeys it took up the majority of our day. We got breakfast at the Flying Elephant, bumping in to the guys from the night before, who were already on the Flying Elephant burgers!!! The mini bus picked us up at about 11ish, and we all thought that that woulod be the bus to take uis the hole way, we happy this considering there was only one other person on the bus. Amazingly it turned out that one other person was a Canadian, living in China and South Korea depending on what time of year it was, that used to live in St.Albans and went to Beumont school. This world is faaaaar too small. Anyway, it tyurned out the mini bus was only taking us to the local bus station an that this girl girl was going off to different place to us anyway.

The 4 and a bit hour bus journey went without much incident. The only thing of note was that Kevin (Delaney) Bacon turned out to be on the same bus as us.

When we arrived in Sihanoukville we all got seperate motorbike taxis down to Serendipity Beach (main area). We ended up staying in the guesthouse the motorbike drivers left us at, which was fairly nice, with a TV, only one double bed, but we'd dealt with that before. After getting our stuff sorted out we headed straight down to the beah with KB. Our guesthouse was just up from the beach, down a small road.

I'd not heard so many good things about Sinahoukville on my travels, I'd had an Italian man tell me his story of having his camera stolen at machete point while on the beach, and others who had said it was very dirty. However Linnea was desperate to go there, and I'm generally happy to add up my pit stops in a country, and was looking forward to finally seeing a sea. The beach it turned out, for me anyway was a pleasant surprise, it was much nicer than I'd expected it would be, and although the sea wasn't the clearest about, by a long way, it was still fine, although possibly a bit too hot.

We spent the rest of the afternoon in sea, before heading back to the room to get changed. We ate dinner in our guesthouse's restaurant and decided to have a queit night in, all of us being so tired. I stayed in the restaurant watching a film when the girls went to bed, before joining them myself.
