Jade and Kelly Travel Round the Globe
Krabi- first night had a really drunken night, played yahoo, and scared half the population of Krabi. Ended up at a beach bar with a bottle of Thai whiskey. Managed to fit 7 of us in a tuk-tuk.
Next day kayaking through the mangroves to the open water, saw some monkeys who attacked us. Bob got a banana out which was nicked pretty quick by a heard. Kev and lucy capsized. Saw a cobra, he looked friendly!
Next day our group hired a speed boat and we did a private tour of the Phi Phi islands, went to the "Beach" and swam to a whole other beach, we then went on to 6 other islands. Tons of snorkelling with ickle nemos, which was fun, till they bit you.
Next day jade and kel went for a trek around Krabi, was absolutly beautiful, def go again.
Satun, The journey was crap, so had to go get wasted as soon as we got there, went to a resturant and had something that resembled pot noodle, yum. Got so drunk on Chang that we ended up singing Karoke "love me do" by the beatles, and the similar classic "like a virgin".
Penang, feeling rough, enough so that jade was asked if she was a man when crossing the border (jade said no, obviously). crap night out in sleezy pub. Ended up on hotel rooftop, with some of the guys, great company, cool beers, good view.
Next day caught train up Penang hill, and walked back down, amazing views, and killer monkeys. Went to the botanical gardens, curry for dinner, ended up on roof top, in a pool comp, which jade and taz, easily kicked arse.
Cameron Highlands, jade and kelly, managed to wangle the best room in the apartmant. played kings cup that night (say no more rob), then kelly watched batman, with her headtourch on and jade cleaned vomit (Rob). Next day went on a jungle trek, was an early hungover start. was absolutly amazing, but then the vine of death occured. The guide offered us the chance to swing on a vine over the undergrowth over a rather large drop, Kev went first and bashed into a tree, as did jade and Rina. However then it was Kelly's turn, as she is somewhat vertically challanged compared to the rest of the group, she had to hold the vine lower down, this had dire consequences...
... as at optimum height kelly silently slid off the vine into the depths of the jungle, disappearing entirely from sight. No one knew how Kelly was as they were unable to aid her through the pain of laughing. Kelly was however ok (and actually quite comfy on her bed of moss).
At the end of the trek we arrived at a tea plantation, and had some cake and surprisingly, a cuppa. Then we caught the truck of death back to the appartment, on this journey Jade, Kelly and Kev sat on the roof as the driver hurtled home, overtaking at top speed around corners, with road trains coming in the opposite direction, it was fun.
