The night train was horrible. The compartments had 8 seats, so it was crammed! So we had a very poor night sleep, the fact 1 man kept going in and out and moving all the time didn't help! After 10 long hours we finally arrived in Prague. First impressions were not good as when I went to the toilet I saw a dodgy man cleaning his knife!
We had a good couple of hours before we were able to check into the hotel so we found a cafe and had croissants, looked at a map to decide on things we would do. After waiting for a while we decided to go early to see if we could check in early. After a bit of a problem, with our name not appearing on the booking sheet, we finally were able to go into the room at 12pm. The room is the worst one so far in our travels. Had a quick shower and then a planned quick nap, but before we knew it, it was 4pm!!
Feeling fresh and awake, we went to the old town of Prague. As we walked there, my opinion changed. The buildings were lovely, as soon we walked into the square we could see that is the heart of Prague. Molly loved the clock tower. A man started to perform as soon we arrived so sat down at the front. Lots of laughs and few dangerous tricks! One of the tricks was putting a cucumber down a random man shorts and chopping it up with a big sword knife style while blindfolded.
Feeling hungry we went to eat. We ate at a restaurant in the square, lovely space and view. I had a beautiful steak while Molly had salmon which she loved. A big meal that we really needed and enjoyed. As we ate it got darker, the square became more romantic. The lights were beautiful. We arrived back to the hotel at 10.30pm to have a good night sleep.
