We can't sleep - the new sheets provided with bloody Jim stink and it's freezing by the motorway - real change in the weather. Bloody free campsites….
Matt drives into Kiama round 5.30am and parks near the lighthouse to watch the sunrise. We are overlooking the famous Kiama blowhole - caused by the waves crashing into a rock formation whose shape produces a surge of water similar to a geyser! We have brekkie here and get some great pics of the sunrise. It's beautiful.
We then drive onto Jervis bay which supposedly has the whitest sands. It's in a national park area - and they aren't far wrong, it's stunning, really picturesque surrounded by little islands and cliff edges.
We then make tracks for Milton, stopping by a river for lunch and shopping at Batemans bay. Jacq finally finds some new clothes and they are on sale she does an express shop whilst Matt transforms into a clothes horse. Matt hurt his foot last night during the camper exchange drama in the rain so he grabs old man sandals for his poor foot (moses sandals), he just can't cope in standard thongs (aka flip flops).
