Headed off to Valparaiso with some people I met in Santiago after a fun Saturday night despite all of us attracting the attention of a bisexual Chilean pimp wearing a beige jumper. Thankfully we mangaged to lose him after the club and returned safely.

Valparaiso felt very homely, being the first time I have seen the ocean in South America. It is full of painted houses somehow built into the steep hills and long winding roads making it very easy to get lost. On one of these hills we stumbled across the filming of an advert with people on a giant skateboard going down one of the hills. It was very surreal even with a mangy dog persistently licking my feet.

On the second day we went up the coast to Viña del Mar, an adjoining beach resort. As it is the end of summer over here, the beach was very warm and also quite empty. After a day on the beach, we chilled out with an impressive tower of beer and a mountain of food at a local resturant
