Hey hey hey.........
- KRABI
Well, I must say after a long final week with no certificate of my voluntary experience YET, I was ready for a nice transit down to the city of Krabi. So it was! Front of the bus with Holly and Luke my fellow travellers and teachers chilling on an air con bus with the best view on the bus.... a window full o fteddy bears. Haha, neverthe less I slept the majority of the two hours travel towards Krabi town centre; a town surrounded by beautiful limestone quarries and umpteen markets flling the streets. THese market were ordinary markets to us English folk until I saw one tuk tuk with a hamock holding a toddler sleeping approx 100 meers from the market. Clearly not safe in ENgland but hwere in Thailand, fine!
Getting off the bus Myself, Holly and Luke were so adamant that we could find cheaper travel to our actual accomodation for the next two nights br rejecting our first offer of Ao Nang Bay. And so we did and were left stranded in a town centre with no english people within the vicinity, not a wise choice. So we began walking with a backful of rucksack or a push-full of suitcase until we came acrowss the most friendly women with her boy who offered to take use to the nearest bus stop where we jumped on and travelled a good 5 mile for arounbd 85p, sweet. Saving of 5 pound straight there.
First night in Krabi was pretty relaxd and chilled, just what we needed after a long week of teaching. For me though no, I could not resist a bar full of tourists and live band playing famous tracks of Eric Clapton, Red Hot Chilli's and all other audience requests. Luke and Hollie did leave me for bed mind, and yet again I was left alone just as I was for hours on the plane to Thailand. It was not long that three scottish girls invited me to their table and we got talking and soaked in the live music all way to one o'clock in the morning.
Waking up the next morning fresh and rejuvinated for our day trip didn't quite work out as I had plan, I woke feeling like a smacked arse but I managed to crawl to the reception and got on the Aircon Minibus on the first "Thai steady drive" to Suwankuha Temple. Thats right, it was monkley feeding time here. I loved it check ou t the photos, me and Honey Bunny (Izzie ;) ) sure had a great time feeding them bannana's. Crafty b*****s even climed onto Luke to nick his confectionary, funny. And then ofc the large goddess statue within the temple was a site too. Second stop , was where all themagic happened though: Elephant trekking, Thon Pariwat waterfall and plunge pool (so refreshing), 7km white water rafting and food. Brilliantday and definitely it was 1000 baht worth spent. The next days in Krabi were just chill days comprising of our first main site of the Thai lady boy scene waling the streets, cheap shopping and yes ,y second thai massage with aloe vera. Absolutee Bliss.
- KO PHI PHI
An island away = two hours ferry boat where I once again slept the whole distance. First day was a chill day and second day was once again another full day tour. We just could not get enough of them. Myself, Jess and Luke decided for a long long long long long tail boat tour of the surrounding few islands of Ko Phi Phi. As you will have imagined, far too long on the boats and not enough time on the islands. But yes we got see the almight famous Maya Bay, home to the Leonardo Dicaprio scene from "The Beach". Really really nice day out with lots of sunshine and refreshing norkelling stops where I saw some amazing aquatice sea creatures. BUT GUES WHAT.......... I HAVE BOOKED MY SELF ON A THREE DAY OPEN WATER SCUBA DIVE COURSE WITH PADI CERTIFICATION, so the aquatic sea views will only get better in these next three days. WIll tell you all about it in my next blog afterwards.
I am all good here and still coping well even thoug I am now lone travelling, only an excuse to meet more and more travellers. Stay safe everyone as I will be too and so you all soon back in the UK.
Love You Izzie
