Jack - you'll be pleased to know that your suit has arrived - slightly crumpled but in good order - like the lining and the tailor's initials - you'll like the local spiv when you get to Nottingham
this blog site has now tailed off into being pretty meaningless
a few updates wouldn't go amiss - I know the photos are proving a b***** to upload but a few comments - seem to manage to keep upto date with Facebook!!! to which your parents aren't invited..................

Great Blog!! get a real feel for the place from your description - can taste the stret food from here - care to tell us if the local delicacy is dog and whether you have tried any stir fried?
Enjoy the snorkeling - look forward to the next batch of photos - if you have sent you suit home I might be tempted to try it on for a bet and wear it to a fancy dress party - no I'm sure it will look good and fit into uni life at Nottingham that is if you are still planning to attend uni on your return - thought you might take up a placement at the local tattoo salon!!

Good to see the latest pics - couldn't actually see anyone tubing on the river, but the Tubing Team looked brimful of enthusiasm. Enjoyed the Turneresque sunsets and your moody shot of the mountains in the clouds.
If you are following our news, you will see that London's burning and that riots have started. Under the last government there were riots outside Primark. Now the rioters have migrated to Fortnum & Mason - which seems to show some sort of progress.
Hope all is well with you and best wishes for the next leg of your epic journey.

GREAT BLOG!!
good to skype this morning and it sounds as if you need to start roughing it in Vietnam after you last boozy few weeks - I'm sure that the recent history of Vietnam will be fascinating if not somewhat harrowing with all the horrors of the American -Vietnam war and the French occupation previous to that.
Good look with the fitness regime - it should be more of a regime on the wagon!
you thought last w/e was humilating to be so comprehensively beaten by Ireland then I hope you didn't witness the debacle in Columbo today with England beaten by 10 wickets with 63 balls to spare!!
TRAVEL WELL AND SAFELY
Jon
Thanks for the postcard, which arrived yesterday. Enjoyed the sight of the local 'Mountain Folk' busy making some sort of herbal preparation, presumably to sell to passing tourists. Coincidentally, we are gearing up for another weekend of the 6 nations, when England take on Scotland - many of whose supporters appear to use the same tailor as those Mountain Folk.
Saw Tom and Jenny last weekend - went to the Watercolours exhibition at the Tate and then had gourmet fish and chips. He asked after you, and I gave him an update. He is off to India in the Easter vac for a couple of weeks. Is loving Uni, although is not best pleased that the LSE has been renamed the Libyan School of Economics, after accepting loadsa money from the mad Colonel.
Hope all is well - post some more pics when you can, we all want to see what you are seeing.

Glad I found your blog, you make it sound much more interesting than Will does! Why? Why? Why? is all I can say! Talking tattoos in case you wondering. Keep the boy in check, at least your hair will grow back!

Got back home after a good, hot curry supper with Graham Campbell and found your pics - which look great. Googled Pai and googlemaps found a small town in Cambodia, but I recall you were heading to north east Thailand and then Laos, so I've concluded that googlemaps doesn't know where you are. Hope to see a blog post from you soon, so we can read about your adventures as well as see the pics. Hope all is well and you're having fun.
