So were finally here in Australia and after a long sleepless flight for me and a relaxing one for jack we landed in a really sunny Gold Coast, it was 6:00am and we cracked out the sunnies. I managed to get in an hours sleep on the trip to Melbourne but it still wasn’t enough and when we found accomadation I crashed out.
Tokyo we both thought was absolutely amazing, its gonna be hard to top it, but if anything can, this place can. We haven’t been impressed with Melbournes weather but were patient because it’s the most southern point in Oz and were looking at Darwin where we will be next week and its at average 32c, so we cant wait.
It’s a nice city here very friendly and relaxing, and easy to get around. There’s no real typical beach scene here so we cant wait for the campervan and the east coast. We missed our train the other day aha so had a couple more days here and it’s a great place.
We went to watch a movie the other night, ‘Knowing’, we walked in and instead of seats we had to sit on giant beanbags, which was..different and not as comfortable as some might think.
After the film we stood up, put on our coats and looked round, couples EVERYWHERE! It looked really bad ahah, we tried to get out quickly so people didn’t get the wrong idea. We got outside and Jack said he knew how to get back so we walked….abouts 3 miles in the wrong direction, that night, my feet bled ahaha!
We’ve had some really great nights here in Melbourne, some poker, really good food (some Kangaroo) but as you can tell it’ll be nice to get to the hot hot places and meet loads more people.
So next for us is Adelaide for a night, because everyone we’ve spoke to asks why on earth were going there, then Alice Springs to experience some native Australia.
Speak soon, love to everyone.
