We have been in Ubud for 3 nights now, and are leaving this morning for Lovina, which is in the north of Bali, before we head over to Java.

We have been to the Monkey Forest Sanctuary here, which was awesome! There were so many monkeys there, and they even climb on you! Not me though I didn't want them near me, but Jack managed to get one to sit on his arm! When you walk in there is a stall selling bananas for the monkeys. Jack got some, but he gave one to a monkey and it knew he had more in his pocket so he made a grab for them, Jack got scared and threw them all on the ground!! Quite funny! We also saw quite a few monkeys 'mating'...!! Jack obviously has pics of that, but he hasn't put his pictures on yet - more to come!

The next day we decided to go for a walk that was recommended in the lonely planet. It was about 8km (although Jack swears it must've been 18km!!). We went through a little bit of rainforest past the river, then on through paddy fields and to small villages before returning back to Ubud. The walk took about 2 hours in total - it was quite exhausting in the sun, but it was good to get out of the city a little.

We've generally just been having a bit of a wander around, looking in the many markets and shops (my haggling skills are getting good, i got a notebook which she wanted 50,000 for i got for 15,000!!). We have pretty much done all in Ubud that we wanted to so we are heading to Lovina in about 20 minutes.
