Day 10 - Natchez to Greenville We're heading north today along The Natchez Trace Parkway which follows an old Indian trader route that runs 450 miles to Nashville. We're doing the first 40 or so miles before picking up Highway 61 again. No trucks allowed so great fo bikers and cyclists and old people in no rush. Day 8 Friday - Natchez Started the day by moving to the Grand Hotel. Much better! Visitor centre for Natchez is great. Loads of information and help with a good film about The town. They recommended Biscuits and Blues for lunch and it was really good. Visited the Village of The Natchez Indians who were wiped out in the 18th century. The first finding from the excavations was from 7000 BC then us Europeans finished them off. Natchez is really growing on us ...

Day 6 - New Orleans Last day in New Orleans, so best make the most of it. Booked on the Riverboat Natchez for a 2 hour cruise. Really interesting and lots of info about the city. Back to the landing and time for lunch in Coop's again. Southern fried chicken for me. mmmmmm!,!! Took a bus trip out to the Garden district for a look see and cocktails. Day 4 Montgomery to New Orleans Up early for the long drive to New Orleans. We're using the Interstate today as it will take us a good few hours to get there.
