Today we went to see the castles in Bellinzona!

The first one we went to was Castel Grande which was next to the town piazza, so pretty easy to get to (especially since there was an elevator inside!). It was really cool and had a museum inside, as well as tunnels. It looked out onto the town and the other two castles.

After lunch, we went to the next castle, which is called Montebello. This one was about half way up the hill. It was really cool as well, and you could walk around walls on the top, between the turrets. It had a really good view of Castel Grande and the town.

Next, we went to Sasso Corbaro - the castle at the very top of the hill!! It was quite a hard walk up there, but it was worth it because the view was amazing! It was really windy by the time we got there as well, especially at the top!

Luckily we got back to the hotel just in time, as now there's a big thunderstorm!

Tomorrow we are going to catch the train back to Milan, then to Venice
