Flip it…
Port Washington, Wisconsin
Sometimes things seem upside down and you can’t change them. But I’ve learned in my 76 years that usually everything turns out OK.
For instance:
On our recent Alaska trip there were several glitches. We were supposed to go in 2020, but COVID happened.
Rebooked cruise for 2021. It was cancelled also. But we decided to go anyway since we were planning on meeting Glenn’s family there and half the trip was already booked and paid for. We spent the week we would have been cruising touring the Seattle-Tacoma area with Wendy and Jim as a last minute alternate.
While we were in Tacoma we got word that our camper vehicle was not going to be operational for our trip to Denali which was one of our main goals. So…after several referral phone calls we stayed at the Denali Dome Home Bed & Breakfast. It worked out so perfectly that they were able to book the bus tour for us that we thought was sold out!
On the route back to Anchorage messages said our Airbnb would not be available and a substitute was arranged. The unacceptable alternative made us book a costly last minute hotel but we survived, thrived and had beautiful sunset view of mountains until midnight. Time is truly upside down in Alaskan Summers.
