So we arrivd in Rio on wednesday after an all night fluight connecting via Sao Paulo, and got to our hostel without any problems. Since then we have managed to do so much in what seems like so little time! We have been to the Christ Redeemer statue, which was absolutely amazing, with 360 degree views of Rio, and on such a perfect day, with the sun blazing. However, the sun caught us out and for the past 2 days we have both been seriuosly suffering with sunburn! We have also done a tour of Rochina, the biggest flavela (shanty town) in Rio, built up into the hillsides which was a very eye opening experince. Yesterday however, was something completely different, we went hang gliding off the hills of rio , onto the beaches below which was a truly breathtaking experince. We both bought a dvd of it so you can all watch that when we return! Until then, everyone take take and keep in touch, we will do another one of these very soon when we have somemore news! X
