The final leg of the journey saw us taking on the task of walking from the border to La Paz. This was going to be a 120km walk between altitudes of 3,800 to 4000 metres. Ed Lines, Phil Sutton, and Nick Warner have completed a trek of over 2,000 miles along the Andes on foot and horseback. They started near Guaranda in Ecuador in February 2009 and finished in La Paz, Bolivia in July 2009. They were joined for part of the Peru section by, friend and Spanish graduate, Quita Collard.
