So! We arrived in Innsbruck late in the evening after a sojourn in Zurich. Found the hostel we were after (3/3 now!) and managed to avoid the dorms. Definitely a nice change after experiencing a very loud snorer in Bern. The mountains don't have a lot of snow, but we saw many with snow on the very scenic train ride to get here. 3 nights planned here, then on to Italia!

Hello All! We have been enjoying the sights in Bern. Everything was very quaint and looked very much like a fairytale. We just spent one night there as the prices are more expensive than other places we've been. The language was a struggle, as they have four official languages, but German is the norm in Bern. We enjoyed the beginning of the Christmas festivities, which included a 'light spectacle' where images and colour were projected onto their most grand buil...

We covered Notre Dame, the Louvre & The Moulin Rouge. Very busy day! It was raining most of the day, but a lot clearer than previous days. Got to appreciate Notre Dame during a mass, lots of photos taken. Got very lost in the Louvre, spent many hours there. The Moulin Rouge was lit up and the windmill was revolving :) Off to Bern tomorrow morning!

So, our first day of exploring. We started off with a trip to Versailles to look at the Palace - very impressive. It took 3 hours to walk through the palace and the extensive gardens. Had a salad baguette for lunch (yum!). We then proceeded on to the Le Tour d'Eiffel. It was foggy everywhere in the city so we couldn't see the top of the tower, or anything else. So! Already up to day 2. Lots of planes, lots of waiting. Saw a small portion of Abu Dhabi (from the airport). Just flew over the Alps! Covered in snow already. First day in Paris today :) Finally got to the hostel (got a bit lost)! View of Sacre Coeur :)
