We have arrived in Venice we are on the vapouretto to the island of Giudecca Hilton Molino Stucky Venice. The picture is of a "ferry" going to Greece,Spain, and Portugal all along the coast. Tonight we are going to tea on the island & tomorrow we are starting our tour. This hotel has a terrace bar & pool on the top of the hotel it has a spectacular view.

We are going through the hills of Firenze called the Chanti hills yes you guessed it where they make the famous Chanti wine. We are leaving Rome today heading for Florence,I believe even if I lived here for 100 years you could not see all of Rome, it is unbelievably beautiful. Full of history full of wonderful artefacts. Hi Stella this picture was taken in the Basilica an Indian family baptising their child We did quite a bit of walking this afternoon. The hotel where we are staying is a stone throw from of course you guessed Zara we didn't go in as dad doesn't like the clothes (lol). We have commenced our journey the first attraction is St Peters Basilica. The body of pope John Paul 2nd has now been moved from where we saw him in 2007 and has been placed near the picture of the "pieta"I was unable to take a picture, but I was able to pray at the alter where he is buried. The experience was moving. Unfortunately we had very little time in the basilica and was not able to order any masses to be said but I will come back again before I leave ...
