Well I think last blog I had said that i had left Koh Samet and was on route to Hua Hin via Bangkok. So we had to leave Koh Samet really early to catch a bus and in doing so could not eat any breakfast and couple that with a 3.5 hour bus ride, we were all quite hungry. So we stopped along the way to Hua Hin at a McDonalds. In doing so I saw one of the creepiest things I had ever seen. This guy had a poodle in his hands, and get this the guy had the poodle in a diaper, a t-shirt, had it's hair done like it was princess laya (sp). And he was cuddling it like t was a new born baby. To top it all off he had painted the nails of he dog with this bright red nail polish. How messed up was that? Oh and to answer your question, yes I got a picture of it, and I will be uploading it soon.
So we got to Hua Hin and arrived to the resort, checked in and went off into town, because we had laundry to do. That is one negative thing about travel in Thailand as compare to other countries I have visited. In Europe it was easy to wear clothes over and over again in-between going to an actual laundry mat. However, with Thailand you can't do that because you literally sweat through every price of clothing on your body. And I'm talking after about 10 minutes of walking, if that.
One thing nice about Hua Hin is the markets have a lot more interesting things to browse through, but in doing so they seem a lot less pushy and have a better price point then other places. You learn pretty quickly that the price points are only about their ideal price by maybe 10 or 20 percent. Compare that to Bangkok where sometimes it's like 100 or 200 percent over priced. It's like the merchants in Hua Hin raise it because tourist anticipate it to be so, but in doing so they aren't going to take to much haggling with their prices. well I'm going to break up this blog because I know peoples attention spans are short, factor that with the fact I have to wait 9 hours for a then 10 hour bus ride. And you might have guessed that I has the time to fit in a lot of details.
