Ian and Nina's Big Adventure
A sad night was spent in the hell hole of Managua, the less said the better. On to Granada another lovely colonial town where the people were celebrating the fesitval of the Immaculate Conception, crowds walked the street following a statue of the Virgin and a band, letting of fireworks, singiung and collecting free candy along the way. Unfortunately we didn´t realise about the free candy though. Shame. We met up with the Irish brothers again and bumped in to some old friends from Belize. With them we visited a beautful lake in a volcanic crater, Laguna Apoyo, where we kayaed, swam and lazed around on the volcanic sand beach. Glorious! This put us in the mood for some beach life so the next day we headed to San Juan del Sur....
