Back in Vancouver at the Rosedale on Robson and WE ARE ON THE 16th FLOOR! Love it! What a view of the city!

Victoria! We British know how to colonise! Stunning Victorian colonial buildings. Victoria is a beautiful city. Discovered 'Baggins' - the biggest Converse shoe shop in the world. While there a local lady recommended La Terrazzo, an Italian restaurant. Great piece of luck - massive queue at the door but we got a table for two. Best meal so far - fantastic pasta. Took the pudding back to eat later!

Booked in at Inn at Laurel Point in Victoria. Modern hotel with harbour views and even a Japanese garden. Lovely view of garden and harbour.

Dahlias! What a show at these gardens. Massive gardens at the north end of Vancouver Island. Victoria Symphony Orchestra were performing 'Dvorak's New World Symphony' - magical. Gardens very formal, the sunken garden was spectacular. Now onto Victoria.

Today we started a mini adventure, starting with a ferry trip from Vancouver to Victoria. Coach transported to the ferry terminal at Tsawwassen. Onto the ferry for a 1.5 hour cruise through the Gulf Islands to Swartz Bay, on Vancouver Island. Scenery was fantastic, passing the gulf islands. Then onto Buchart Gardens and overnight at the capital city of British Colombia - Victoria.
