The 'Rail Trip' continues! Refreshed after a night in Kamloops we board the train again for more wildlife and people watching. Scenery getting bigger and better - THEN BANG! Emergency brakes came on! As we were on the last car the blank had disconnected from the air line and dumped all the pressure. The emergency brakes came on and everyone looked at each other with an expression of 'never touched it'! The engineers quickly repaired the air line and off we went...

Arrived all relaxed in Kamloops. Arid desert 36 degrees - lovely. Burger and Coors Light at the local bar 'On The Rocks Pub and Grill with the local rednecks and Harley Davidson Dudes - great fun....... When in Rome..... :-) 'Rail Trip' rolls onto Banff tomorrow. Stopping at the Coast Kamloops Hotel. Crazy room, 2 double beds with door into swimming pool. Only in Canada!

On our way in our goldfish bowl of a carriage. Fantastic scenery, American Eagles, Osprey's, Otter's and rednecks :-/ all seen from our seats and viewing platform. Breakfast - fantastic, dinner even better with service to match, bliss.

Well today is the start of our 'Rail Trip', all aboard the Rocky Mountaineer! 6.30 book in at Vancouver travelling Gold Leaf class. Michelin rated cuisine and service to follow!
