So cover pic is breakfast at Garfukels Heathrow at about 8.30am Saturday. We then had a great flight to JFK antook a taxi straight to sohotel soho - great room with two double beds - al and Jem agreed to shre two nights each! Out mulberry for a great Italian meal at 730 us time one something UK time - after 4 meals that day nog everyone hungry! Slept to 8ish then up early to catch cab to empire state building for 8ish - straight thru and missed crowds - did voice telephone guide - must have spent an hour up on observatory level really great viewed ic clear blue sky. Straight into all you can eat breakfast for $8. then to macey but not yet open Ghent to central station a big church then a pack for bees Ghent cab back where I had to give directions back to hohotel for 330 to chilled before evening meal. Great Italian on mulberry little Italy then back for a long sleep.
Monday
To central park by 10am long wander through to boathouse then hour in row boats to build up some hunger by our 12 lunch booking. Lovely clean White restaurant quite upmarket and de have great table by window overlooking lake and turtles! Alex and I had steak and con salad after starters Jem and Judith plain steak - Judith said puddings were best part of meal! The n walk back to east end of park past zoo and an embarrassed sealion to walk to bloomingdales we're derren sent us to get a 10/ discout - Jem and I bought pants and Judith read sold some lipstick - all v impressed with layout etc. Saw tiffanies and went to Jai Schwab

then back to hotel after a big Judith and I just went out to get some snacks for supper - we were just to full and tired to go out - and then early to bed.
Tuesday
Up early to get to battery by 7.30ish . Al spots a cafe and we wend up St x place where you pay for foods by weight! Walk to battery lots of searching them onto boat to liberty island get headphone tour q to get to pedadtlt nut well worth it for great views and good story. Tour right round islNc then catch boat to Ellis islands for another audio your ands drinks outside then boat back to battery - great views there ANC back. Cab to ground zero but too much building to see anything Ghent cab wigh a driver dho knows streets grrome and Bowery back to hotel chill then earn round little Italy shops ANC buy some t shirts with monkeys on from paul Frank back to hotl more chill and showers then out to mulberry again!
